This article about Leonardo da Vinci's "to do" list written around 1510 caught my eye. Whereas my own "to do list" includes mundane items like "walk dog" and "don't forget dry cleaning", Leonardo reminded himself to "get hold of a skull, get books on anatomy bound, observe the holes in the substance of the brain, and describe the jaw of a crocodile."
