Deadly winds of change

It happens every spring.  Warm air meets cold air; the jet stream mixes in and we get an outbreak of tornadoes.  An unusual outbreak happened in the midwest last weekend, with over 100 tornadoes in 24 hours in parts of Oklahoma and Kansas, leaving six people dead:  http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/17/us/100-tornadoes-in-24-hours-but-plenty-of-notice.html
