Lonely Planet - Kyoto's Sacred Spots

I'd love to visit Kyoto in Japan: http://www.bbc.com/travel/slideshow/20120302-kyotos-sacred-spots
A complex of Zen temples in Northern Higashiyama, Nanzen-ji has a fine little Zen garden, soaring main halls and an incredibly scenic location. It never feels crowded, even during autumn foliage season, when the maples turn crimson and stand in beautiful contrast to the moss beneath their boughs.   (Greg Elms/LPI)
