Nora Ephron's Memorial Service

I'm intrigued by the Obituary pages of newspapers and often find truth to be stranger than fiction when reading peoples' obituaries. I also like that quote by Benjamin Franklin: "wake up every morning at nine and grab for the morning paperThen I look at the obituary pageIf my name is not on it, I get up."  Today's NYT Obituary page features a nice piece about Nora Ephron's Memorial Service which took place in New York yesterday (Monday) and featured many celebrities. She died suddenly in June, at the age of 71, from pneumonia brought on by acute myeloid leukemia.

Nora Ephron was a writer in the Dorothy Parker mold (only smarter and funnier, some said). She became one of her era’s most successful screenwriters and filmmakers, making romantic comedy hits like“Sleepless in Seattle” and “When Harry Met Sally.” Here are some clips from "When Harry Met Sally" (1989):
