May was mental health awareness month

  • Try to get proper sleep
  • Watch what you eat: too much sugar and caffeine can affect your mood
  • Get outside every day among plants, animals and other people
  • Get moving, whether that's taking a walk, doing yoga or dancing with friends
  • Limit your screen time. Increasingly, therapists are finding a connection between too much technology and depression and anxiety.

Wildlife Photographers of the Year


Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibit at the Field Museum in Chicago.  I love this photo of spotted owlets nesting in a pipe in India, by Arshdeep Singh (aged 10).   They usually live in tree hollows but move into urban areas due to widespread deforestation.
